Hi Vince,

Are you asking about what you are seeing in your Welcome Screen? If so, you may be looking at the Learn tab where you will find tutorials. Click the Home tab to see your recently opened files instead. If you are asking about something else, please clarify or show a screen shot.

And yes by default any images you have saved in the Lightroom online library are downloaded to be shown on the Photoshop start screen... These do take up internet, can't be easy blocked but are at least thumbnail to keep it under control

The point is Adobe wants to showcase their idea of online service and if you have very good internet + live in the US then it can work well
