query.JPGhello there,

I'm a very confused about a thing in adobe photoshop,

whenever I see the preset of any landscape

it shows the size for eg, landscape 2*3

but also behind that heading a text Is give 3*2 in@300 PPI

as it is a landscape why 3*2 is given in the landscape preset

if we observe the portrait preset let's say: portrait 2*3

in this case in the bottom of the heading there in 2*3 in @300ppi

not 3*2 in @300 PPI

I hope you understood my query

I hope I'll get a definite answer from u

thanks a lot

Regards

In the graphic industry width goes before height. so »Landscape, 2x3« seems contradictory in itself.

It does not seem to be one of the default Photo presets, so who created that preset?

ya its seems contradictory

but why only in the case landscape is opposite

in portraits it's same

also, it's a default preset of photoshop

please let me know why it is so

I'm really curious to know this thing

I agree with you that in graphics industry widht comes first

but mine question is

in case of portrait its

portrait 4*6

4*6 in@300 ppi

and in case of landscape its

landscape 4*6

6*4 in@300 ppi

theycould return it as

landscape 6*4

6*4 in @ 300 ppi

then why not

please let me know

In your Photoshop version, on latest 21.2.1 it seems it's been changed or restored, thise changes come from clicking at right the landscape icon (a rotated from default position) is set, thus presets appear first as rotated.

Just pay attention to the proportion and sizes shown at right for the file to be created, if it matches your expectations and needs, click OK and forget the default sizes icons and numbers.

As said, this has been revised/corrected on latest version.
