The original preview for my GIF has a white background with logos sliding through. When i try to save to the web and make it into a GIF the optimized version turns from white into an off-white blueish color. How can i get the GIF to export white instead of blue?
This is the original version that I want my GIF to look like once its exported...
This is the color my GIF is exporting as...
How many colors are listed in the palette? Is white in there?
I do not see a value for only ffffff
Did you try the "Convert to sRGB" option as well as the Preview options? If this is going to be shown on the Internet, sRGB would be your best bet.
Yes i have tried that! I have also been on the phone with Adobe all morning. They do not know the issue either. I'm getting extremely frustrated.
Do you want to post a link to the original document? Maybe I (we, by extension) could take a look.
Did you get an answer to this because I'm having the same issue and no idea what to do!
In the drop down when saving for web choose "Selective" instead of "Perceptual". Worked for me
Worked for me too, thank you so much!!
I actually do know why this happens and how to fix it. It's because it's reading the brightest color as your blue an not white.
Step one.....On the export, sort the color table by luminosity
You will see that the brightest color is your blue or whatever tint you were getting. Double click that color and change it to #ffffff to white
The tint has now turned to white and you can export.......
OMG YOU ARE MY HERO THANK YOU!
many thanks mikemacxx
you saved my sanity
I've been struggling with this the whole morning...
Thank you so much!
ooooooh myyyy G! You are a legend! Thanks for that!!!!!
this sounds amazing, BUT, when I change the color nothing happens on the screen it just created a new color that's divided in 2 pieces.
OWOW!!!. HERO!!! Problem Fixed!!! THANKS!!!:) All good Luck!!!
Thank you soooooooooo muchhh!!!
unknown error occurred file not save plz help
Thanks for this perfect workaround! Oddly, the issue only happened when I exported at actual size. But does not when I export at 50% (I needed same file for client for 2 different uses). Weird!
same thing was happening to me - when changing image to a smaller size, it was fine. So, I saved the color table at the smaller size and then when saving for the larger size, I loaded that same table and it fixed it. I dont know why this is happening though.
it is 2020 Mikemac and you continue to be a hero! You just solved my problem thank you!!
