Writing Pixel Color Information to a File?

In Photoshop, using the image analysis tools, one can determine various parameters of a selection, like area and mean gray value, and write these values to a text file.  Is there a way within Photoshop to determine the hexadecimal color value of a pixel and write that value to a file?  I want to query and record dozens of points, more than is practical to do with the Color Sampler Tool and jotting down the values.

No there is no way other than the color sampling tool, which is very slow.
