......"an unrecoverable problem has occurred. photoshop will now exit"

New Computer from Dell...top of the range graphics card terrabytes of storage masses of drives but I cant get Photoshop to open!

This is all I get....this started about a year ago and no update post 2019 seems to have worked! Whilst I put it down to the old computer there is nowhere for Adobe to hide this time

We should not be having to still be waiting for a stable (and expensive) application to work

Answers please ASAP

First of all try resetting the Photoshop preferences, which you can do under the General tab in Photoshop preferences, to see if that resolves the issue.

If you can't launch Photoshop to do this try this:

1) Close Photoshop
2) Double click on the Photoshop icon to launch the application
3) QUICKLY hold down Ctrl+Alt+Shift. (for Windows) or CTL+OPT+CMD+Shift (for Mac OS X)
4) When a dialogue appears, asking you “Delete InDesign Preference Files?” Click Yes.

(If you don't see the question do it again.)
