zoom very slow on photoshop

Hello,

I have the latest version of photoshop. And I use a Macbook Pro Retina 2015 with Catalina.

And since a few days now the zoom with my trackpad is really slow. And I have no idea why. 
If anyone have an idea or suggestion... Would be great.

I'm having the same issue on my Macbook pro with M1 chip and my boyfriend has the same issue on his older macbook.

The zoom works perfectly fine if I use command+ or command- but it freaks out if I use my trackpad to zoom at all... 

I think this might be a bug with the latest update?

I am reassured to know that I am not the only one with this problem, and that the problem isnt due to something I could have done 😃

Just want to add on to this so maybe it will gain traction!

I'm running the latest version of Photoshop on macOS 11.1 on both a 2019 15 inch MBP and a 2015 15 inch MBP. The CMD+ and CMD- keystrokes work totally fine, but the trackpad zoom has a... weight to it? It just seems so laggy, as if the files are way too big for my computers to handle. (They're usually not terribly big. I work on a lot of 3x3 in, 300 dpi canvases).
