What is code '12'

First pardon me as I do not know if I posted in right forum.

My problem is sometimes when I print a PDF 1.3 file to PS level 2 RIP, I am receiving an error "increase MaxDisplayList or MaxSourceList" and cpsi error code '12'. Anyone knows what is the meaning of this? The PDF file is a simple layout in grayscale exported from Indy CS3. All text are converted into curves and completely flattened. I'd printed a much complex PDF 1.3 colored page into the RIP without problem but occasionally I was prompted by this problem in simple PDF 1.3 file. Anyone knows?

Thanks.

Sounds like a memory limit or configuration issue in your RIP. RIPs using Adobe PostScript are supported by our OEM partners, not directly by Adobe; contact the vendor or manufacturer of the RIP software. By the way, a PostScript language level 2 RIP is probably at least 10 years old at this point. You might consider upgrading same.

Thank you. That was quick. Probably a new RIP is the best solution as I

can't find any user related configuration in our RIP. I already increased

the RIP related buffers but same error occurs. And yes, it was almost a 15

yr old RIP.
