Prelude freezes on ingest

Every time I try to ingest, Prelude freezes with a greyed out screen.

This happened with both 2015.4 and 2017.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled.

I have trashed preferences.

I have deleted the 5.0 and 4.0 folders under C:\Users\[***]\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Prelude

I am running Windows 10 on an Alienware with Core i7-6820HK at 2.70GHz, 16 Gig RAM.

I've seen a few others with similar issue in the discussions, but none of their solutions have worked for me.

Any ideas?

Same here. On a Mac El Capitan. both 2015.4 and 2017.

AME loads up, then Prelude crashes in the background...
