I've tried renaming clips from a Panasonic HPX370 several times, but the resulting clips never have audio. Same thing happens if I use Bridge. If I just import the clips into Premiere and don't use Prelude or Bride, the clips do have their audio. Is there some trick to get this to work? For what it's worth,
1- I believe the shooter dragged and dropped the clips from his P2 card onto a hard drive, then just did the same to my external drive.
2- there were 3 P2 cards used on the shoot and each card was broken into these 6 folders:
AUDIO
CLIP
ICON
PROXY
VIDEO
VOICE
3- if you import into Premiere w/o Prelude, you just go to the VIDEO folder, hit import, and it works fine.
Hi DTBD Films,
P2 files are a part of a complex folder structure and Prelude does not allow Rename functionality for complex folder structure. Also, to ingest P2 files in Prelude I would recommend that you do not use drag-drop functionality as drag-drop only ingest the video and might not be able to link to other files of that video clip.
To ingest a P2 or any other complex folder structure files use Ingest window.
Please try the same. I hope this might help.
