Adobe Premier Elements 2018 Rendering all the Time

Community Beginner ,

Something happened to my "preferred settings"?

Every time I stop or play or add a file, music or video, a box pops up and says it is rendering required files (it did not use to do this until lately).

Even if I render the project, save and shut down. When I bring it back up it renders again.

I am working on a 30 minute video, so each time it does this it takes a period of time.

How do I shut this back off so that it only render when I ask it to?

Thanks

Check the Audio Hardware preferences and be sure Default Input is  None.   Also change the Hardware acceleration in General setting.

If those don't help,  please post the project settings and clip properties using MediaInfo.

Set the microphone to None because somewhere in the background Premiere Elements MAY BE trying to render audio that is not matched to the project.  The result is that it is slowing everything down and MAY BE causing your issue.

It the Hardware Acceleration box is checked.  Try unchecking it.  Depending on the computer it MAY fix you issue.

MediaInfo is a free shareware program that allows you to examine and share the details of what is in your media files.  If you are interested, install it, open a clip in it, view the "Tree" view and screen share it here.  Along with it, share a screen shot of the project settings.  It MAY lead to understanding your computer's odd and slow performance.

I have not made any changes yet.

I rendered the video, uploaded it to YouTube.

Went beck into Elements to extract an avatar and elements rendered the whole video again before it would play?

Glenn,

If MediaInfo "screwed up your browser" you have bigger computer issues than can be solved on a user to user forum.  My suggestion is that you find a hands on computer repair person or coach to sort this out.

Sorry if that seems harsh.

It does, I am not a complete idiot on a computer. This free software came with a lot of ad on adds.

Some directions on what you would like to see from it and how to get that would be good.

Thanks

This is the latest YouTube How To video (box and install bushing in a control arm

View it from a technical point, what can I improve on?
