Adobe Premiere Elements 11 no longer opens

I wanted to get back into video creation and I've noticed that the Premiere Elements 11 application no longer opens. When I'm in the menu, I select the video editor and it starts loading but nothing opens.

When I launch an old project directly, I get the screen with all the credits, etc. then everything closes. I can't open the application.

The organiser, on the other hand, works fine.

My PC is running Windows 11

I've searched, uninstalled, reinstalled... and nothing changes.

Has anyone had this problem before? What is the solution?

First go to the nVidia or AMD sites and ensure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card. Don't trust Windows to do it for you.

Then try opening the program by right-clicking and selecting Run as Administrator.

Added to what Steve said about right click... when you right click you MAY also need to select a compatibility mode to make that old program run in Win 11
