what do you mean by "recording DVD"? Do you mean you're trying to burn a DVD?

If so, first check your timeline to ensure you don't have a blank spot where there is no video. Then go to the Edit menu and select Preferences and, on the General page, uncheck the option to use graphics acceleration.

If that doesn't do it, please provide more details: What operating system do you have? Which processor do you have with how much RAM and how much free, clean, defragmented space is on your hard drive?

That's helpful to know, krystiani. That indicates that Premiere Elements and your operating system are working fine. The breakdown is in the driver for your disc drive.

Go to the Dell.com web site and find the support files for your model of computer. Locate the firmware and drivers for your disc drive and install it. Sometimes computer manufacturers adapt Windows and you need to use their drivers rather than Windows.

You don't say how much free, clean, defragmented space you have on your hard drives, but 250 gig hard drives can fill up pretty fast and fragmentation can keep programs from grabbing big chunks of free space -- which can cause some processes to choke. You also should make sure your project files (.prel) are on you second hard drive, where you should have lots of free space.

But worst case, if you can make an ISO, you can use the free program ImgBurn to burn a DVD from your ISO file, as I show you in my Muvipix.com tutorial.

Thank you very much for your help in solving my problem.

I just burned the DVD with ImgBurn and it's working fine.

Now I will try to use the driver from www.dell.com identifying my computer by support assist.

Thank you wery much for your time.

I say goodbye wishing you a Merry Christmas
