It would help if you provided a little more information on how you are selecting your styles and with which title. Maybe a screen shot?
If it were me, I would try to reset the preferences. https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-elements/using/preferences.html
If that does not work I would try uninstalling and reinstalling.
