New Here ,

I normally (weekly) import mts files for editing. This time I am trying to work with an MP4 file. The video plays normally in the time line, but the audio is very slow. (It is rendered.)

Hi there,

Thanks for writing in. When you say the audio is slow, is the playback slow or there is some synchronization error?

Which version of Premiere Elements are you using? Could you share more details along with the details asked by @Peru Bob?

We're here to help.

Thanks,

Shivangi

The video plays normally, but the audio is very slow and low. I don't see how they can synch, but the audio is too slow to know where it should go to match up. I also don't understand how they both seem to at the same time*.The version is 2019 version 17(20180830, 1636760

* I gusee the audio continues until the video ends.

Go to your Preferences and see if Audio Hardware input is set to NONE.

It is set at "Microphone (HD Webcam C615)". The other choice is "No input", That choice did not correct it.

Try resetting the preferences:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/Premiere-Pro/FAQ-How-to-reset-trash-preferences-in-Premiere-Pro/td-p/...

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site.
