Can anyone tell me why text cuts off when resized?

Besides the fact that often when I'm working Motion Titles in freezes the program, can anyone tell me why enlarged text is cut of at the top, as per this image.

Never seen anything like that. I'd suspect it was unique to that font.

What happens if you apply a different font to that text block?

Yes, I wondered if it could be the font, but then it happened to another.
