Poking around in Elements Organizer for 2022 and I find some .cfa files which Google says are cached sound files created by Adobe programs. If I double click any of them Premiere Elements 2022 opens and I get the error that the file is not supported or the codec isn't installed. Shouldn't the codec have been installed when I installed the program or is it a file that's just created for the application's use and not meant to be double clicked? They are in the folder:
Documents\Adobe\Elements Organizer\20.0\Adobe CAHeadless Audio Previews\Temporary
Thanks
Those files are preview files used by Premiere Elements. You don't open those files directly. Only the application uses them.
If you delete them, Premiere Elements will recreate them as needed.
