Clicking sound plays at same point in exported video, but not timeline.

I have exported the same video 7 times now and I get this loud clicking sound that plays in the exact same spot each time, despite no such sound playing in the timeline. What makes it wierder is that it happens in the middle of the audio file and not where two files are joined. After 7 attempts to get rid of it, the only thing I found was that cutting the audio into pieces makes the sound a little quieter, but still very noticeable. Cutting it into even more pieces didn't seem to help matters. Does anybody have a solution to this?

This is indeed strange!  I don't know the cause.  There may be a couple ways to work around it.

The first would be to export the finished video as an intermediate file.  Then put that into a new project and use the audio tools to find and mute the clicks.

The second would be us use the Export Audio only workflow and clean it up in a audio program like the (free and amazing) Audacity.  Once cleaned up, put the new audio back in the project under the primary track and mute the primary audio track.

Hope this helps.
