Color in imported pictures and videos is black and not its original color

The original color of the image had green grass, not black, but I don't know how to revert the "background color" back to the original color of the image in my project asset file. I tried to uninstall and reinstall adobe Premiere Elements, but still had the same result.

You've inadvertently applied Videomerge (a type of Chromakey) to your video. You can even see it listed on the Applied Effects panel on the right side of your illustration.

Click on the trashcan icon to the right of the Videomerge listing to remove it.
