Crop video in Elements 2022

Is is possible to crop the sides of my video to narrow it? I dont want to scale it cause that zooms in and i dont want to do that. The recording is wider than i want, but I cant find a crop tool anywhere. I use Premiere Elements 2022.

Video doesn't work like a photo. If you crop a photograph, it will change size and shape.

If you crop a video, you will remove part of the image, but the video shape itself will not change. You will just have blank space in the area you cropped off.

If you want to create a video in a different shape -- taller than wide, square, etc. -- there are ways to do that. But cropping is not one of them.

That said, the Crop effect is in the Transform category of video effects.
