GoPro Hero 5 Editing

New Here ,
May 11, 2018 May 11, 2018

Hi all,

I recently purchased a hero 5, shortly followed by a new laptop.
After some advice from this forum I was able to download premier elements and photoshop 9 and use my existing code from my old computer to get them up and running.

However it seems I am unable to edit using elements 9 as the highest quality setting for projects I can find is 1080 but I am shooting in 2.7k and 4k.

Am I able to get around this somehow or am I going to have to purchase a later edition? If so, which?

Thanks.

You will have to upgrade if you want 4K (or rather UHD) project settings.

There are no project settings for 2.7K

Beware dropping 2.7K footage in a 4K project will result in image quality loss.

2.7K footage is best used in a 1920x1080 project as you can do pan and zooming.

If you do not want to upgrade you can drop the 4K and 2.7K footage in a 1920x1080 project and scale the footage down. Providing E9 will edit Hero 5 footage.
