Hello,

Unfortuneately I don't get the GPU acceleration with my Nvidia GTX 1080 to work right. According to Adobe my card is supported for GPU acceleration.

I use Premiere Elements 2022.

Here's what I did so far:

#1 Clean deinstall GPU driver with DDU and clean install new driver with NVCleaninstall. My current driver is 497.09.

#2 I tried to find the allow list for the graphic cards to add mine. But I wasn't able to find the folder. SOURCE: https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-elements-discussions/gpu-accelration-broken/m-p/12451675

#3 Google for other solutions and searched this forum, but haven't found a solution so far.

I really like using Premiere Elements and my idea was to upgrade to Premiere Pro in a year or so. But if I don't get GPU acceleration to work right... I have to switch to another product.

Maybe someone from the Adobe support or someone from this community can help me to make it work.

In order to find the folder you need to check Hidden files in windows explorer.

Or do a windows explorer search

The card has been listed incorrect in the Elements root.

You need to add your card in the following manner

NVIDIA#NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080#

Thanks Ann. Searching for the file name helped me find it.

My card was already listed, but I still added it again with the text you mentioned.

And now it's working. 🙂

As I said before your card was listed incorrect (spelled wrong)

The card name has to be written in a certain way as shown above.
