Haze removal missing from Advanced Adjustments Effects

Note below that the  "Haze Removal" icon does not appear under "Advanced Adjustments" in my Photoshop Elements 20 Video Editor, nor does it anywhere under "Show All", nor when typing in "Haze" in the optional search bar..  I had actually used it some weeks ago when editing another video, but it seems to have disappeared.  I also tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Premiere Elements 20, but it still does NOT appear.  Can anyone explain how this might have happened and/or offer advice to restore the "Haze Removal" feature under "Advanced  Adjustments" editing effects?

A more senior analyst from Adobe telephoned me after my last post to apologize for being mistakenly informed that Haze Removal  had been removed as a feature and promised to also inform whoever misinformed me of the same.  He did not explain any reason it reappeared, but seem to agree that something in the old folders I had manaully deleted one may have caused a conflict.  In as much, I'd encourage you to considered doing the same if a straight uninstall then reinstall of everything Adobe does n

Every user needs to know where his or hers projects are stored.

Default is in Documents.

I store them somewhere different.

When project is finished you can delete it from your harddrive without any issue.

Are you in Quick View or Expert View?

Are you on a Mac or a PC?

It's definitely there. At least on every version I have (including 2024) on a Windows computer.

Yes, it's supposed to be, and as mentioned I used it a few weeks ago, but it's somehow disappeared and even when reinstalling the v20 sw.  It fails to appear in Quick View or Expert mode even when opening another project or none at all shown below, so I'm wondering if there may be a means to diactivate an Effect  that I might have done mistakenly to prevent it from appearing?  I attempted to contact support via a Chat session that didn't help until it finally advised me that they're closed for the w/e..  Thank you for replying!

This might help.   Try reseting the preferences to the original defaults.

Just to close this off in consideration of your thoughtful responses, after much ado by an Adobe  customer support person that took control of my laptop to uninstall and manually remove several related folders, then reinstall every Adobe product on my laptop that all proved ineffective, he later learned after escalating the case to a more senior level that "The Haze removal feature was removed in the Elements 2022 (my v20) version.  The Haze removal was first introduced in Elements 15 and was present till Elements 2021."  In as much, I may have confused using it in a previously version, but there isn't any point dwelling on it further in consideration of his reponse.  Thank you again for trying to help!

I can't speak for Adobe, but in my version 2024, it's right there in Advanced Adjustments.

So I don't know.

No explanation except that I manually deleted some files that the Adobe Customer Service Rep had created after he was done and checked again to confirm that Haze Removal was still missing then.  However, after forgetting about this for a couple days, I just reopened after reading your reply to find that HR has suddenly reappeared below.  No clue unless one of the files I deleted was causing a conflict, but many thnaks again for replies and giving me reason to look again.  This confirms that I had in fact used it as I thought to remember and doesn't reflect kindly on the Abobe CSR that claimed it was removed...

However, I would only consider manaully deleting folders or files if beging guided by an Adobe analyst to avoid deleting files related to any of your projects.  I did so myself because I only had one existing project  that I created a copy of in another folder via the Premerier menus, so was able to reopen that project from the new folder after my original project files were manaully deleted.  One would need to be an expert to know precisely where Premerier project files are stored, so I strongly discourage manually deleting anything until you undertsand the potential consequesnces.
