how do you lengthen the time of an overlay title

I have been unable to find a way to lengthen the time that an overlay title displays above the timeline

It is appearing for 4 seconds and want the overlay text to appear for 8 seconds

Grab the end of it with your mouse and "stretch" it.

I tried that and although the overlay "streched" the text overlay was till only 4 seconds long. I am using PE14

"Classic" titles stretch as far as you want them. What title are you using? Can you post a screen shot?
