The Canon XM2 is a miniDV camcorder, and Premiere Elements no longer includes a tool for capturing miniDV footage.
However, you can capture the video over a FireWire (IEEE-1394) connection and the video will be fully editable in Premiere Elements 15.
To capture the video on a Windows machine, use the free download WinDV.
On a Mac, purchase LifeFlix from the App Store.
