Since yesterday, wenn I import MTS Video material, Premiere Elements generates 6 identical audio tracks, all linked to the original video footage which is imported just once.

Glad for any help Thorsten

Yes known issue if your audio is 5.1

Only solution is to wait for 2023 or convert audio to stereo

... or convert audio to stereo

This can be done with the free software handbrake.

I had to do this after I somehow managed to film an entire vacation with 5.1 audio.

I am still having this issue which is super frustrating.  I have PE2022 and when I drag a clip into the timeline the audio runs over 6 layers.  Is there a solution in the works as I find this impossible to work with efficiently.
