Trying to capture video from my old Sony DV camcorder...My Windows 10 pc recognizes the camera, which is connected to a Firewire cable and port, but Elements is not seeing it. Any ideas why that might be?..This device is on the list of supported dvices...I have a brand-new Dell PC with Intel Core i7 and 2 graphics cards - Intel UHD 630 and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Super
Premiere Elements has not included a feature for capturing miniDV since version 12.
Which version of the program are you using?
If you are using a version newer than version 12, you will need to capture your video over a Firewire using a program like WinDV or Windows Video Recorder in order to edit the video in Premiere Elements.
