Importing video is extremely slow.

Hello:

I am having trouble importing videos from my SD card into Premiere Elements 15.  The software just hangs at "Copying Media 16%" for hours at a time before moving forward. What used to take minutes, is now taking days.

I am importing from a Nikon Cool Pix P610 camera (MOV files)

Any Idea what the trouble could be ?

My computer and OS Specs:

• Windows 10 Home  (64 bit,  x64-based processor)
• Version 1709
• Computer is: HPE-210y (Hewlett Packard)
• Processor: AMD Phentom (tm) II X4 945 (3GHz)

First, you need to get the video off the SD card and onto your hard drive. Then try importing it into the program.

It also might help to have Quicktime installed.

QuickTime 7.6 for Windows
