What is your operating system?

As far as I know the Mac version does not include making a DVD

Bonjour.

YOUR locations will be set according to your installed drives
Must set project/media location EVERY TIME I do a new project, before do anything else
Every time I start a project I set my project and work files to F:\Adobe
(F is MY drive for temporary files, your drive letter may be different)
I work in EXPERT view to be able to control every aspect of my project
Click EDIT and then PREFERENCES and then SCRATCHDISKS
I set every one of the options to F:\Adobe
PrE then automatically creates sub-folders as needed
F:\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements Audio Previews
F:\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements Captured Audio
F:\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements Captured Video
F:\Adobe\Adobe Premiere Elements Video Previews
F:\Adobe\Encoded Files
F:\Adobe\Layouts
F:\Adobe\Peak Files

My general process (in EXPERT mode)
1 - see above for starting a new project
2 - import my pictures and video files
3 - do any trimming and/or transitions
4 - click TOOLS then MOVIE MENU
5 - use the share option to write an ISO as DVD output
6 - use Imgburn (see below) to write the ISO to disc
