I have dragged a video clip into the project panel but when I try to run it the monitor screen is just white. If I click on the area I can get a single frame to show but as soon as I click the forward arrow the panel goes white again.
I am using an old version of Premiere (elements 10) but used to use this perfectly well some years ago. Now I've come back to using it I get this problem. Any suggestions please?

What is your operating system, and version?
What is your video card, and driver version?
I will GUESS there is a problem with your video card

Many thanks. I tried running it on my old laptop and it worked fine so, yes, I'm sure it's new technology with old software. Time I upgraded! Thanks again.

I agree with John that it may likely be a mismatch between old software and new a new video driver.
It may also be footage from a new phone or camera is not compatible with the old program. What is the source of the video clips?
