Hello

I have been using the old adobe premier elements 14 for a long time, suddenly my "crop tool" under applied effects, disappeared!!

I have been using this program since i bought it, and suddenly, after several years of trusty use, the key feature "crop" under "effects", disappeared. I now only have  " hollywood looks, frequently used and video effects, in the drop down menu.

Does anyone know if they just removed the effect suddenly??

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.

Even if Adobe removed the tool from a current version of the program, they could not remove it retroactively from a 10 year old version.

In fact, I've never heard of a tool disappearing from an older version of the program. Normally I'd recommend re-installiong the program -- but I'm not sure what would happen if you tried to activate a program that old.

Is the tool merely missing or is there a null spot where the tool should be?

This is a very very unusual issue. When was the last time you rebooted your computer? And can you confirm that this is Premiere Elements and not Photoshop Elements?
