Photoshop Elements 2021 & Premiere 2021 -- version 19?

I previously owned PSE & PRE 7, 9 & 13. Last May, I went ahead and purchased PSE & PRE 2021. Going through my account's overview today, it shows that both of these programs are version 19. Would version 19 be for PSE & PRE 2019, or is that version (19) the correct one for PSE & PRE 2021?

I am a little confused about this and just want to confirm that the version I am using is the one I actually purchased last May. Please help!

That is correct, Elements 2021 is version 19.

Adobe change numbers to match the year.

The recent released Elements 2022 is version 20.

Just confirming, because it feels a tad confusing still, as I did think that Adobe indeed matched the version with the year. Because of that, I was thinking that Elements 2021 would've been version 21 and perhaps Elements 2019 was version 19. Because I never got Elements 2019, I am really not sure which version PSE 2019 actually is.

Is PSE 2019 a different version?
