Photoshop Elements organizer doesn't recognize that Premiere Elements is installed

What is the easiest way to use the Photoshop Elements Organizer with Premiere Elements? By search on Adobe Support I found the following on how to use the Photoshop Elements Organizer with Premiere Elements:

  • Right-click/Control-click the media file, and select Edit With Premiere Elements. . . .
  • You can open Adobe Premiere Elements for editing video files using the Editor > Video Editor option in Elements Organizer.
  • Organize your photos, video files, and audio clips in Elements Organizer, and drag them onto the Adobe Premiere Elements Project panel.

(1) The first 2 don't work because I get a box telling me to install Premiere Elements (already installed, with a permanent license) from a DVD, or to download it from Adobe. So the only option is to drag individual files onto one of the editing pages but I would love to be able to do the other 2 from the existing organizer which contains hundreds of videos already tagged etc.

(2) I also cannot open Photoshop Elements Organizer from the home screen of Premiere Elements. When I try I get a box telling me to install Photoshop Elements from a DVD or download it.

First ensure that both are the same version. For example, both Premiere Elements and Photoshop Elements are both version 2022.

Then try opening one or the other program by right-clicking on the icon and selecting Run as Administrator and see if that makes a difference.

Thank you Steve. Photoshop E. is v 2020 and Premiere E. is v. 2022 so that's probably the problem. I've been reluctant to update to PSE 2022 because it took a long time to learn 2020 and I don't want to repeat that effort every year. So I'll just make do for now.
