Hello. Last week my video editor suddenly stopped working. I am not positive but I believe the computer had run an update. When I tried to reopen Adobe Premier Elements 2018 Video Editor I got the following image.
The blue bar underneath the video editor tab continues to run like it is trying to load but after 1/2 hour of trying nothing happened. I tried to uninstall and then reinstall using my serial number. However, I get the same issue.
Any ideas on where to begin looking for a solution would be greatly appreciated. As a SIDE NOTE, I did notice that there was an offer to upgrade to the NEW "AUTO REFRAME" for 2022 could this possibly be interfering with performance of the program?

New features like Auto Reframe are part of newer versions of the program. They aren't updates to older programs -- so it's pretty unlikely an update to version 2018 was released, let alone that it would affect the program's performance.
It could be a problem with a Windows update. Or Mac, depending on what OS you're running.
But it could just be a background process (if you're running Windows). Open the Task Manager (by right-clicking on the Task Bar) and end any process named Premiere Elements or even Adobe. Then try launching the program. (You can also try re-booting the computer, but I assume that was one of the first things you did.)
You might also go to the nVidia, AMD or Intel we site and download the latest drivers for whatever graphics card or system your computer is running. An outdated video driver can foul up the program.
