So. Premier Elements 2022 - no sound. on Win 11 Pro
I simply can't believe this company. Everytime I want to do something simple with one of their products I have to spend literally hours getting it to work. A huge mistake to have got involved with them.
All I want to do today is edit a simple video in Premier Elements 2022. But it seems it can't work with my sound drivers. The sound is fine - other apps can play sound.
If it can't play sound it is useless. It isn't so much the money I regret as the time.
No answer from support - as per usual.
I wonder if anyone else has had this problem with the sound?

Have you checked your audio settings?
Go to preferences (under the Edit menu on a PC) and select Audio Hardware. Try changing your input and output settings..

Hi Steve
Yes. I don't know if you can see the attachment 'error2.png'? This is the problem - i go there and it offers me the installed sound drivers - in my case RealTek or MSI (this is my computer manufacturer). But, by RealTek it says "not working". I think this is the correct driver to use - as it is selected in the system defaults. But anyway - if I change it to MSI Sound Tune i now see 'not working' by that.
The issue was resolved by upgrading to Adobe Premier Elements 2023. The laptop is quite new (2023) and it looks like Adobe had not make Premier Elements 2022 work with these drivers. I am surprised because I thought all this interfacing with audio drivers was handled by Windows.
All in all a typical Adobe experience - I really appreciate the software, but the (it must have a proper word but I am not sure what it is) 'infrastructure' parts are, for me, always problematic. - Either cloud sync doesn't work, or, in this case, a driver incompatability.
