You are seeing the missing media screen.

Premiere Elements doesn't embed the media used (videos, photos, or audio) in the project file.  It acts as a pointer to where the media used in the project is located.  If the source media has been moved, is on a drive not connected to the computer, or on a drive that doesn't have a fixed drive letter, Premiere Elements doesn't know where to look for your media.

Premiere Elements doesn't delete files or folders.

What is the physical location of the video files?

Are your files located in a folder on your computer hard drive?

OR Are you editing from an SD camera card in an adapter?

OR Are you editing from a USB flash drive?

As Bob and John suggest, you may not be using the software in the normal work flow.  But, if in fact you do have corrupted files, you have a hardware failure.  This software won't do that.

I would not be using "One Drive".  Put you project assets in a standard folder on your primary drive.  Have your project and output file there too.

That might be the case that it is not the best but I can assure you the problem I have identified is not a onedrive issue

Thanks for your questions

The files are on my one drive. I have all the video files in folders. I was saving the edited clips to a new folder. This got deleted

I can send the corrupted project file if it helps I have put it in my trash can but it could be recovered
. Every clip has been replaced by a text image bright red background with multilingual text.

I reloaded a fresh version of elements

Do you have backups of the media?

Did you try relinking the media?

Can you copy the files to your hard drive and try to relink the files?
