Premiere elements 2020 freezes

My premiere elements 2020 keeps freezing.  I have 1 T of space, Windows 10.  Any help, please.

Although it might not make sense, Premiere Elements can get tangled up in audio processing causing the whole thing to freeze.  Check your settings in Edit > Preferences > Audio Hardware.   Change them from what they are to something else.  "None" is often a good choice.
