I haven't used my software in a couple of months, but now I can't hear audio inside the Adobe software. When I play clips in media player everything is fine, but the same clips in Premiere Elements you can't hear the audio. I exported a video I'm working on and that video, in media player has audio...what gives?!?

Make sure Default Input in the Audio Hardware in the Preferences is set to No Input.

Thanks, that seems to have solved my problem. So if I have my output set to speakers do I have to change it to headphones within the editing software or will it change automatically. And do I have to change something back if I want to use an input source. Kind weird, but again, thanks.

When I switch from computer speakers to headphones and back, Premiere Elements doesn't always follow. I've never figured out if it is Windows or PrE that's not working. It is easy enough to go to Audio Hardware and change the output to match the Windows selection.

If you want to use a mic just change the input settings to microphone.
When done, set it back to NONE.
