I am new to video editing and I am trying to edit some go pro videos and keep running into issues. I try the guided setting and keep getting the media pending screen. Now I have a debug event. Or it just hangs up. Any ideas of what I may be doing wrong? I have uninstalled and reinstalled. Thanks/

Premiere Elements is normally very stable software. But, video editing ties together various parts of computers including GPUs. Since your situation is an exception and may be complex, I suggest you go to Online Support in the Help menu. It will take you to a website. In the lower right corner is a button that will start an online chat. Adobe techs can remotely trouble shoot. You can go to the same site directly here: https://helpx.adobe.com/contact.html

Thank you. They are closed today, so I will check with support during the week. I did check my system and I believe my computer meets the system requirements.

Does your machine meet min system requirements?
Gopro is not a very friendly editing format: highly compressed.

It will probably be a combination of 'graphics' drivers and the 'codec' used in the GoPro footage. It may be easier to wait for tech support, but if you are up for the challenge there are a few things you can try. They are change the graphics driver, examine the footage or share a clip for someone else to try.
