Premiere Elements may not recognize a DVD burner that is connected through USB. You may need to output the DVD file as an ISO file and then use a program like ImgBurn to create the DVD from it.

This is a public forum with other users providing help... we did not write the program, we can only tell you what happens... nobody here knows why the program does not always 'see' an external device... if you can't use Imgburn you will need to search and find a program written in your language

Thanks for your thoughts. I see that you did noch write the programm. I only ask this simple question, why such a "normal" programm cannot read a "normal" burner. I could understand, if I used something very rare, which does not got together with Element. Yet this is not the case. That's why allow me to ask for the logic in this situation.

My question is, if I can get in touch with somebody working for Adobe. i find it quite difficult to find a human being with whom I can exchange an get answers. Virtual assistants do not help me with my situation.

Thanks again for your energy and Time.

Set your DVD output to an ISO file on your hard drive and then use Imgburn
-https://community.adobe.com/t5/premiere-elements-discussions/imgburn/td-p/13185708
-send the author a PayPal donation if you like his program
-you may also use Imgburn for general backup of files or folders to disc
