Premiere Elements crashes on launch and can't open.

Hello, I have been having an incredibly annoying and frequent error when I try to open Premiere Elements. Sometimes the program opens just fine, but sometimes I get an error message like the image below.

adobe premiere error.png

It isn't always SCAudio.sc that's the problem, but different files come up and say the same thing, that they are not designed to run on windows or contain an error. Then I have to uninstall, restart my computer, and reinstall to get premiere to work again, but even after I do that if I try to open it later on I might get this error again and will have to keep uninstalling and reinstalling.

I'm using Premiere Elements 14 on a Windows 10 computer, and I downloaded the appropriate version off of adobe's website (the 64 bit windows version), but this problem keeps occurring no matter how many times I uninstall and reinstall the program.

I'm open to any suggestions, I've already made sure my operating system was up to date, as well as premiere itself, and all of my drivers.

Thank you.

Is this the first time you've tried to run version 14? Did it work for you when you first bought the program?

What happens when you download and install the Premiere Elements 2018 free trial? Does it install correctly? Does its installation fix version 14?

Meantime, open a Command Prompt in Windows (Run as Administrator) and then type in:

sfc /scannow.

This can often fix corruptions that have slipped into Windows.
