What is your operating system?

Which processor do you have with how much RAM? How much free, clean, freshly defragmented space is on your hard drive?

Also go to Premiere Elements' preferences (under the Edit menu on Windows) and, on the General page, uncheck the option to use hardware acceleration and see if that makes a difference.

Hi jiml,

Thanks for reaching out. I am sorry to hear that you got the issue again after getting it fixed. Do not worry, help has arrived .

  • As mentioned by @Steve Grisetti, we need the details about computer(OS, RAM, GPU, etc) before starting troubleshooting.
  • What error do you get when the application crashes? Could you share a screenshot? FAQ: How do I capture and post a screen shot or video?
  • Did you test the issue with different projects?
  • Also, did you try the suggestion to uncheck the option to use hardware acceleration? Did it help?

Let us know. We're here to help.

Thanks,

Shivangi
