Premiere elements re installation problem

Due to a problem in my PC (Windows 10) I have to re install Premiere Elements 10. I have succesfully completed the installation using the original DVD. But when I choose "Open a Project" or "New Project" the system ask me to type the serial number. When I finished entering the number (the correct one) a message says: "this number is not valid for this product". Any suggestion? Many Thanks

Were you able to DE-activate your previous install?

If not, you need to do this to be sure you have an activation available

When you can't deactivate a serial number
BE SURE TO ONLY ASK FOR ACTIVATION SUPPORT TO ADJUST YOUR ACTIVATION COUNT
You may need to PERSIST or TRY AGAIN to find a support agent with more experience
