Problems creating a film on Premier Elements 13

Hi

I have been creating an ''annual review" of various videos I took last year on Premier elements 13, including editing, adding music, then rendered the finished video.  However when I try to replay the finished film all I see are blank spaces where I had inserted the clips together with a message "where is xxxxMTS?"  Extremely frustrating and a waste of time.

I would appeeciate any assistance, thank you

To clarify my previous comment - the various videos I took last year were on a hand held video camera. I am using the Premier elements to make a finished review

Do you have all video/sound files on your computer hard drive?

It 'seems' that you are trying to create a video using files on an external device, and you have removed that device so PrEl is not able to find those files

Premiere Elements project files don't store your source media.  The project file only acts as a pointer to the files.

You need to have the files available to the project, and then tell the project file where they are located.

Hi Peru Bob
Thank you for your note. I realise than the PE programme does not store
the clips but these clips are on the same hard drive as the PE programme
and therefore available. Some are on the desktop.
If I open the PE programme then click on 'Open existing video' all I get
are blank grey spaces where the clips were - by the way the transitions are
all there.

I would welcome any further comments, thank you,
Graham
