Problems with Premiere 14 burning DVDs with region restriction

I am having trouble burning a DVD with adobe premiere 14. It burns the disc with a region restricition so that it will play on some DVD players, but not others. I have burned discs in the past with the exact same settings and not had this issue so I am not sure what has changed and why it is putting a region restriction on the disc now.

I have version 2021 so you may have different settings, but when I create a DVD there is no place to select a region code

John is right. There is no region restriction written in to a Premiere Elements DVD.

Are you talking maybe about NTSC vs. PAL TV standard? If so, what part of the world are you located in?

I'm in the USA. I have burned discs before with no problem, but now for some reason it will play in some players and not in others (typically older DVD players) and gives an 'area restriction' error when it wont play so I'm not sure what has changed about it.

I'd say that's more likely related to the fact that these are home-burned DVDs, which use a chemical rather than physical process to write data. Most newer disc players play them just fine (except for some reason Sonys). Some older players may not. But, despite the error code, it has nothing to do with region restrictions.

I never go direct to DVD, I always create an ISO file on my output drive and then I use  the FREE https://www.imgburn.com/ to write the ISO to disc (send the author a PayPal donation if you like his program - DO be sure to uncheck anything you don't want from the download site) You may also use Imgburn for general backup of files or folders to disc

Imgburn has MANY more control options when writing to DVD

ADDED - I have Imgburn set to use a write speed of 1 and then the program will use the slowest speed the combination of my burner and the specific brand of DVD blank will allow
