Recording in Premiere Elements 12 with a phone device?

Ok I know it is possible to connect certain cameras and recorders to a computer and record through Premiere Elements 12 using those devices, however, is it possible to use a smart phone in the same way? I'm trying to avoid the "record then transfer from device to computer" route but I'm not sure how long my actual camera that can record video will record before deciding to stop recording.

The phone I'm planning on using is a Samsung Galaxy S7.

No.

The program is supposed to be able to record live video from some webcams, but that's about it. Recording live video is not something this program really does well.

So basically I just have to record things as normal and deal with transferring.
