Renders are Black in PE 2024

New Here ,
Nov 30, 2023 Nov 30, 2023

Recently installed Premiere Elements 2024 on Mac. When I Render the timeline the result is completely black. Audio plays normally but there is no video. I've tried with different video and the result is the same.

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot of the properties of your media in tree view:

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate before importing into Premiere Pro:

Shutter Encoder may also be used to convert to Constant Frame Rate:

Thanks for the suggestion. I tried some other media and did not have the same problem, so it is media specific.

I'm attaching a screenshot of one of the clips that I had this problem with, it is constant frame rate so that doesn't appear to be the issue.

Everything looks fine and plays fine unrendered (yellow bar). It's only when rendered (green bar) that the video goes black. I can work with it unrendered but I have several hours of this media. If I can determine the issue it would probably make my life easier to correct it all with Handbrake before working with it in Premiere.
