Running time balloons?

Hi:

I've edited my video down to five minutes. When I export the video, the running time is over 13 minutes. Help!

Check your timeline for stray video or audio clips.

Check your in and out points.

Adding to Bob's advice, don't be surprised if a video takes time to export.  Only the more powerful computers can do it quickly.  If you have additional music, effects, transitions, etc, it could be normal to take twice the play time to do the output rendering.   It can also slow you down if your output settings are different than your source video specs.

Is it that your exported file is 13 minutes (as I read it) or that it takes 13 minutes to export (as Bill Sprague  read it)?
