Dear community,
I have a little issue with the play cursor in the timeline. In Premiere Elements 11, when the cursor is playing, I can click the begin of the current clip to trim, and the play stops automatically.
A few days ago I upgraded to the version 13 (also not the latest - I know....). Here, when I try to trim while playing, my mouse movement scrubbs instead of trimming. Meaning I first need to stop playing, then I can trim. Is this normal behaviour in the newer programm versions or is it a bug? Is it possible to deactivate it and return to the previous behaviour?
Regards, Rick

Software changes over time.
Hard to say if it's a bug. Software is old.
If it's not a bug, you cannot deactivate a certain behavior within the software.

I've never known the program to be able to edit a clip while it's playing. Have you been able to do that in the past?

Hi Steve,
thanks for your reply. I meant, when I clicked to trim, the play stopped automatically and I were able to trim. Now in the version 13, I need to stop it actively (space key) before I trim.
OK, not a real problem, but a little unfamiliar.
