Titles and effects don't transfer to PE 2025

Community Beginner ,

Hi,

I just acquired 2025, and when opening my existing projects I realized to my dismay that all the titles and effects (such as motion, pan / zoom, color corrections) are lost during transfer - only the transitions are kept.

This is a major hurdle for me, as it means that a significant amount of work has to be redone in ongoing projects.

Is there some way to fix or work around this ? I was previously using 2023.

Thanks for any help.

2025 is different from 2024 and older versions.

The titler has been completely overhauled. You cannot use titles etc. from older versions

Color correction also is now very different.

If you want to keep your old titles etc, you will have to use 2023 and finish the project and start fresh in 2025.

Backward compatibility with projects is sometimes-to-often not possible

The advice I have read is to finish a project in the version you started the project

Thanks for the response.

Of course, I usually do this but it was never a problem before - I can still edit 10 year old projects with 2023.

What it means practically for me, is that if I want to revisit any project in the future, I'll need to keep 2023 active ad vital aeternam!

I would have expected Adobe to provide at least a conversion tool for older projects. That's not very customer-friendly at all...

Conversion tool is very unlikely as 2025 is very different under the hood. In fact, it's a stripped version of Premiere Pro.

Thanks for the quick answer, I appreciate it !

I gathered as much, if only from the fact that 2025 creates a new .prel file and doesn't mess with the old one ! I was still hoping that there might be an import process or something.

Fortunately I still have 2023, but there are at least 4 ongoing projects where I was hoping to benefit from the better optimization of 2025 (which seems real). I'll probably use 2025 for a couple, which aren't too advanced title- and effects-wise.

Thanks again,

RP
