why can't I active my mpeg2 on Premiere Elements 7?

I've had this for years but never used until now and the link that pops up goes to an old site. I tried the new activation sites and it gives me an invalid code. Can anyone help?

Premiere Elements 7 was released 8 years ago and many of its components are no longer supported.

In early versions of Premiere Elements, some components (such as MPEG creation) needed to be activated before you could use them. That is no longer the case and the site that activates these components is no longer active.

Try downloading and installing the free trial of version 15. It's possible that it will install the components that previously needed to be activated and you'll be able to edit again in version 7.
